DreamEscapes
2013

The World Without Us is a thought experiemnt written by the American author Alan Weisman, he takes on an irresistible concept: How our planet would respond without the relentless pressure of the human presence. In the series DreamEscapes, Drøschler investigates this theory through a number of paintings, digital collages and sculptures.

GREENLAND
2012 -

As Arctic summers go, 2012 is on track to be a record breaker. Both the sea ice and the Greenland ice sheet are shrinking to new lows this year. Drøschler is currently planing to go on a journey to experience the ice sheet in companion with wild life photographer Paul Jerem, to collect materials for her next project 'Greenland'. As seen in the project 'The Forest Within', Drøschler has an interest in exploring places which are directly effected by global warming with the intention to take pictures for creating digital collages and paintings.

The project is at the early planing stage, why more information would be updated as the project progresses.

THE FOREST WITHIN
2010 - 2012
Drøschler had for this project an interest in trying to embrace places in the world that are remote, where it is still possible to experience the chaos of primal feelings.

In autumn 2010 she visited the forests of Borneo, actively trekking for days and experiencing fauna and animals in their relatively untouched natural environment. Her paintings deal with this place and also engage the edges of the human mind. She is aware of Freudian references within her work, making the painting very personal, however there is also a sense of overwhelming focus
for exploration of our collective and now anxious psyche.
