DreamEscapes
Solo show at the Danish Cultural Institute in Edinburgh, May and June 2013
Press release:
The Danish Cultural Institute in Edinburgh is thrilled to invite you to the private view of “DreamEscapes” by the Danish contemporary artist Mia Nelle Drøschler.
Private views: THURSDAY 2nd MAY 2013, 18.00-19.30
“DreamEscapes” investigates the Ameriacn author Alan Weisman's thought experiemnt in the book 'A World Without Us', on how our planet would respond without the relentless pressure of the human presence. Drøschler's interest for nature was first manifested as a research journey to the rainforest in Borneo, shortly after her degree in Fine Art from Goldsmiths in London. Her work seems to pose questions that challenge the well-known archetypes of dream images.
Mia Nelle Drøschler will give a talk on her work @ 18.30.
Free refreshments.
If you would like to attend the private view at the Danish Cultural Institute, please email visuelle@mianelle.com or Tel 07956033663 to get on the guest list.
