Duo exhibition
2021
Curator and architect Filip Juul orchestrated the conceptualization of a virtual ideal museum building to host the artwork, circumventing the challenges posed by the COVID-19 lockdown. As all art institutions in Denmark remained shuttered during this period, with three planned exhibitions canceled, this innovative solution provided a much-needed platform for artistic expression.
Within this digital realm, a carefully curated selection of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and wall paintings found their space, defying the physical restrictions that had disrupted the art world. In the absence of in-person gatherings, a private viewing event was seamlessly conducted on Zoom, allowing attendees to connect virtually and experience the exhibition from the comfort of their homes.
This virtual exhibition is not limited by the constraints of location, as it is accessible to a global audience through YouTube. With the artist’s voiceover as a guide, viewers are led on an immersive journey through the virtual museum building, providing an intimate and interactive exploration of the displayed works. In this way, Filip Juul’s innovative creation bridged the gap between physical separation and artistic appreciation during a time of unprecedented challenges, offering a unique and accessible experience to art enthusiasts worldwide.
